Goblets

These are my goblets I did an Italian flag with the colors hot tamale, cotton tail and just froggy. The color all around is tiger tail I used this because it was a Tuscany color so I thought it would match. The red goblet did not turn out how I wanted it to. I think the red one looks stupid because it is short and stubby. Also the colors did not fade right. 

Goblet

This goblet I am fading red for my great aunt at the bottom it is hot tamale then ruby slippers then on top red candy apple. On the inside I used tuxedo black so if she uses it it doesn't get stained. This project has been fun and I can't wait to see if the fade looks good. 

Vase

This is one of my vases. It has a ripple in the top because when I was almost done it did that. I left it that way because I thought it made it very cool and unique. I am painting it bloomin' blue. 

Goblet

These are my goblets. They were very fun to make. I am making these for my grandma and great aunt. These were a challenge for me because they were hard to put the this parts together.  

Salsa dish

This is my salsa dish. It is I. The kiln and once if I done I will paint it. While making it it was tricky because I have never thrown one before but I thing it turns out well. I can't wait to have some salsa and chips using this dish. 

Place setting

 

This is my finished plate setting. I used all of the same 9 colors but switched them around in the sequence. At one point somebody bumbed the table and my bowl fell in some paint. I then had to wash it off and paint it again even thought I was almost finished with it. 

Famous Painting Plates

This plate was inspired  by an artist named Morris Louis. He uses many different colors and makes lines in different ways. He had many paintings like these:

They inspired me to make my place setting like this because there are many colors. Those colors can express you, by your mood or personality. They can be fun and put you in a good mood or be dark and put you in a bad mood. 

Pre-paint #1

This is my first project and it was hard to shape it and trim it. I am still learning techniques on how to do certain things but I am sure by the time this semester is over I will be 10 times better.
